My dream to unite all database systems into one giant ecosystem began 20 years ago when I realized the value of data would create a data tsunami that no single system could hold.

There was only one problem. Database vendors hate one another, and no database integrates with another. The solution took 20 years to develop, but it involved combining six solutions.

Put the power into each individual’s hands by building a query and development tool that can query every system in an enterprise simultaneously.

Automate the conversion of table structures and data types between each system in seconds.

Master the load utilities between all systems (over 2,000 combinations) to move data at blistering speeds.

Show tables visually and build the SQL automatically across all systems.

Allow users to drop-and-drag tables from all systems to federate joins across any combination of systems in a single query.

Allow the user’s PC to do everything, but build a Server so users can execute jobs on a high-powered, high-speed Server that can be located anywhere. That way, small data runs through the PC, but large data runs through the Server.

I always believed that databases would not be the answer to the data tsunami, but software that unites all databases would be the only answer.
